Today I took the kids swimming. Picture this: 34 degrees, 2 hot mothers, 5 already sunscreened and bathered kids, closed public pool due to school carnivals. Not a pretty picture. BUT thankfully quick thinking and a Melways averted a catastrophe!
So eventually we made it into a pool. After an hour of splashing around in a toddler pool the kids migrated to a big pool. Ellie (NB NOT ELISE anymore - I pwefer ELLIE) started diving underwater - she has taken to the water like a ....fish to...well I'll leave it there.
Once she came up coughing and spluttering and I asked what happened
Well Mum I just found out that you can't talk underwater "Really?"
Yes Mum it just doesn't work!
Needless to say Kelly and I were in stitches cos I would have thought that if anyone could talk underwater it would be my girl!
