Unstable AND irritable.

Not me - just my funny pregnant body! Whatever will they think of next!! Not only do I have pelvic instability but now I have an "irritable uterus"!!! I had my antenatal appointment this morning and had to take in a record of the contractions I've been having over the last few weeks. Based on this I've been diagnosed with the above - not that I ever knew this condition existed!! Thankfully I had a great midwife who gave me some really concrete information and helpful advice. I was really concerned that I wouldn't know if I went into labour early as I have been having runs of contractions 10 minutes apart 1-2 times a week. She also recommended increased magnesium and raspberry leaf tea which is meant to be a smooth muscle relaxant. So here's hoping this will help over the next few weeks until baby is a little more ready to join our family! 7-8 weeks to go!! Woohoo!

Till next time xoxo

All the best, Christy! Just be aware that the raspberry leaf tea will increase your contractions. :) It sure gets your uterus toned, just expect some more runs of contractions and maybe cut back a bit if it becomes a problem! Great for the last 4 weeks and during labour though. :)

You poor thing - I hope that raspberry tea works - I've been thinking & praying for you with the pelvic instability.
7-8 weeks - wow - looking forward to meeting your new family member ...even if it's just over the internet for now!

I heard about the raspberry leaf tea but I never tried it. I hope it works for you. I understand the worry about not knowing if you will realise true labour when it begins! (I had that worry too!) Your sidebar counter says only 38 days to go so you really are on the downward run now - take care.
