Jesse cautiously crawled into the cubby house the other day but within a minute had the girls wrapped around his chubby little finger playing peek-a-boo with him! It went on for about 15 minutes (hence I had time to grab my camera!) What you can't see is that each time the flap was lifted up to reveal the master-of-disguise himself, his WHOLE body would convulse with giggles!! Oh I wish I could bottle baby giggles up....I'd make a fortune!!
I don't often do painting at home. I just find the effort to set up and clean up far outweighs the actual time spent painting... They bring home enough paintings from kinder anyway - enough to fill the recycle most tuesdays - that's after using it for wrapping paper and sending the odd bits to grandparents! But today was different.
We had an unfortunate accident this morning. Whilst Abbey was putting her shoes on so we could join our friends at the park for a picnic, she fell off the second stair and managed to put not one but TWO TEETH through her lip. After being unable to stem the bleeding for 30 minutes we deposited Elli and Jesse at Nan's and made the trip to the Emergency Dept. She was very brave but was VERY pleased she didn't need stitches.
So as you can imagine she "just wanted to stay home..." After a movie and a paddlepop, sponge paintings were the order of the day!
That means so far, since hubbie has been away, I have dealt with all 3 children falling down the stairs (I'm blaming their colds and lack of balance!), a very large spider in my kitchen sink, 2 lights blowing - that I can't reach of course! (but Thanks Dad!!) and a trip to the ED. I'm definitely looking forward to SHARING these parenting jobs on his return! Ciao!

I agree with the painting - lots of work to set up/clean up for such a little bit of time - I also do it occasionally.
Looks like you're all having fun there!
Love the peek-a-boo story - what a cutie!
I've just found your blog from a comment on Renata's. Your photos are gorgeous. The flowergirls could not be any cuter!
I agree with the painting - such a hassle to set up and clear away but don't they love it.
And I can sympathise with these things happening while your husband is away - always happens to me too! (My HB goes away a lot.)
