Apologies...

Hi there long lost friends. It seems i've been on a different planet for the past month - with Kieren studying, and taxtime, I've been kept busy with my 3 little bees 7 days a week which doesn't leave much time looking for that camera USB cable i misplaced. So I finally found it tonight and downloaded my photos for the month. Thanks to Melinda for giving me a not-so-subtle reminder too!!

So today I have a story which beautifully illustrates the difference between my two little princesses. Always have been like chalk and cheese...

Last night I was cooking spaghetti - waiting for the water to boil to add the spaghetti when along comes Abbey. She says "Mum. What's that in your hands?" I tell her its spaghetti before its cooked. She asks if she could have a look so I pass her 1 stick of spaghetti.

She sniffs it - twice. Then strokes it very gently. Then rubs it on her cheek and shivers. (I know - a bit weird). Then comments on the feel of it.

Along comes Elise - running. She says " Can I have what she's got??" So I pass Elise a stick of spaghetti as well. She then breaks it in half. STicks half in her mouth and breaks it in her teeth and screeches "Ye-owww!" "its stuck in my tooth". Then breaks the other half in her hand into bits which drop all over the floor. Then she says "Can I have another one?" And I (not learning from the first experience) give her another one which she promptly breaks into more pieces. At this point I say "ok - no more for you" to which Abbey responds "that's ok Elise - you can have mine" (awwww...) So Elise promptly swipes Abbey's spaghetti - goes and plays teaparties - and two minutes later ....yep you guessed it....the tea parties over cos the spaghetti is again in umpteen pieces...

I just had to laugh. I don't think they could be anymore different if they tried.
