Easter

There's something about the wonder of Easter for kids that makes it such a happy family time....You can see the joy in their eyes! Having Daddy around, church, family and friends to play...it's so much more than just the chocolate!

I have to admit I don't think I've seen their mouths stretch as wide!! Check out Abbey - she must take after her father!! Whereas Ellie daintily breaks off little morsels to pop on her tongue (so she can talk at the same time I'm thinking...) Abbey has to consume as much as one can fit in her mouth cavity in one foul swoop!

this morning i gave them an egg from Kieren and I - the type that comes perched in a mug with my little ponies dancing all over it. So Ellie unwraps it and ....what every kid must do...rattles it...but alas there was no sound. I'd forgotten that kids dream of easter eggs that have surprises INSIDE. Oops! So after church Grandpa and Nannie's eggs were given to them ....and just as well they rattled!!! Thanks Grandparents for making your granddaughters' day!!
