Holidays

When Jesse was 2 weeks old we decided to make the most of Kieren's time off work and head down to the beach for 4 days. We went back to Barwon Heads (the home of SeaChange)- a place Kieren and I had visited in our first year of marriage. I figured if I have to wake up during the night to feed - I may as well wake up somewhere nice!! Well, we had the best time. Our cabin was directly in front of a huge football oval so the girls just RAN and ran and ran.... The river and sea were stunning - shallow bays and rockpools for the girls to play, and lovely pram-friendly tracks for me to walk along. The crabs in the rockpools provided hours of amusement for all the kids (Dad included!) although Abbey was a little concerned and repeatedly asked
"what do we do Daddy when da crab scuttles??"

We didn't use the car at all - we walked to the shops, the pub for dinner, lookouts, playgrounds - the lot!! We'll definitely be returning...hopefully with grandparents and bikes in tow!

To finish off our fun holiday we returned home via the Queenscliff-Sorrento car ferry much to the girls delight! Although we didn't see any mermaids, they had a wonderful time....
