Flutterby Faeries...

Oh I wish I could be a faerie Mum...

Elise and Abbey are right into imaginative play at the moment. Maybe that's an understatement. I think they live in an imaginary world sometimes. Since Elise has been constrained due to her fracture Abbey has taken on the role of big sister and Mummy's helper. She has a new-found assertiveness and independence that was definitely not there before the accident! Sometimes this brings about squabbles but most of the time in the past week it has meant that Elise and Abbey are now almost equal playmates. They have a wonderful time role-playing doctors and patients, dogs and cats, mummies and daddies, mummies and babies, and favourite of all faerie sisters!! The wings come out, the dress-ups go on, the wands are whished around and lots of fluttering sounds are heard emanating from the playroom. It's the nicest kind of quiet play a mother could hear.... Especially when faeries sleep.....
